Opening up New Markets

O+H (“Otipka and Henge”) was founded in Prague in 1999 with the aim of expanding the successful business model of HENGE Baustoff in Germany for the sale of building materials into previously untapped markets. In particular, the trade in fly ash from numerous coal-fired power plants in the Czech Republic and neighboring countries remains a core business of O+H to this day.

Other key products in the O+H portfolio are anhydrite binders, FGD gypsum, cement and other specialty products. Thanks to our flat hierarchies and synergies with our subsidiaries HENGE Baustoff in Offenbach/Queich in Germany and BES in Most in the Czech Republic, we can respond flexibly to your wishes at any time and offer solutions that are tailored to your needs.

For the HENGEGROUP, convergence within Europe means the opportunity to consistently expand existing business relationships and exploit new potential. Together, Managing Directors Jindřich Otipka and Hans-Walter Henge have succeeded in tapping into new sources of raw materials for our building material products in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland.

Jindřich Otipka's involvement has resulted in synergies with HENGE Baustoff in terms of both purchasing and sales. The arrival of Jiří Vlček, first as an authorized signatory and later as Managing Director, enabled O+H to generate further growth and thus serve the markets of the surrounding countries with innovative building materials and services.

Following the departure of Jindřich Otipka and the acquisition of his company shares, Jiří Vlček has been responsible for O+H's operations since 2019. By developing these new markets and continuously expanding our range of products and services, we can always offer our customers optimum product and service quality combined with new ideas.
