Thanks to our many years of experience and extensive know-how in the recycling of industrial minerals, we can offer you tailor-made concepts for your residual materials. KOMINEX Minerals+Processing is a company that has grown historically, with its industrial site dating back to the 19th century. The reprocessing of residual materials from the grinding, blasting and refractory industries began in the middle of the 20th century. After reunification, KOMINEX gradually increased its focus on the reprocessing and sale of garnet as a cutting and blasting abrasive.

Production Processes

KOMINEX Minerals+Processing processes mineral residues from the abrasive, ceramic and refractory industries into high-quality end products on a total of six production lines. A large number of systems ensure that the right product can be manufactured in the right quality and quantity and under the right conditions.

Our plants include

  • Different types of crushers
  • Different grinding units
  • Several drying ovens
  • A variety of magnetic separators and dedusting systems
  • Complex screening technology for the screening a wide range of grain sizes

Test Laboratory

When it comes to improving end products and recycling processes, the quality of the source materials is also crucial. As a first step, we check your residual materials individually for their general suitability for reprocessing and discuss the optimum transfer of your materials with you.

When all residual materials arrive at our production facility, they are checked again to ensure that they meet the parameters required for smooth processing. This is followed by interim storage and subsequent feeding into the reprocessing, at the end of which the desired end product is made available.

Before the end products can go out to our customers, they are carefully checked in our in-house laboratory for compliance with all physical parameters and are then ready for dispatch.

Our quality assurance therefore consists of the following aspects, among others:

  • Close consultation and cooperation with our secondary raw material suppliers
  • Physical analysis of the material in our in-house test laboratory
  • Continuous feedback on our product quality

Europe-wide Certification

To underline our commitment to our customers, KOMINEX Minerals+Processing is EMAS-certified. We are also a certified waste management company and have all the necessary permits for the professional acceptance, processing and disposal of your residual materials.
