The company O+H (“Otipka and Henge”) was founded in Prague in 1999 with the aim of using the successful business model of HENGE Baustoff to open up markets that were previously out of reach. Especially the trade with fly ash from the numerous coal-fired power plants in the Czech Republic and the neighbouring countries is still a core business of O+H today. In addition, anhydrite binders and cements are the main products in O+H’s portfolio. Thanks to our flat hierarchies and synergies with our sister company HENGE Baustoff, we can always respond flexibly to your wishes and offer customised solutions for your tasks. For the HENGEGROUP, the political rapprochement with our eastern neighbours meant the opportunity to consistently expand our existing trade relations and to exploit new potential. This opportunity was seized in 1999 with the founding of O+H in Prague together with managing partner Jindrich Otipka. Together, Hans-Walter Henge and Jindrich Otipka succeeded in opening up new sources of raw materials for our building material products in the Czech Republic.
Jindrich Otipka’s involvement has created synergies with HENGE Baustoff in terms of both purchasing and sales. With the entry of Jiri Vlcek, first as authorised signatory and later as managing director, the excellent sales competence of O+H was further professionalised and the market development in the Czech Republic, but also in Saxony, Bavaria, Austria, Poland and Slovakia was significantly intensified. After the retirement of Jindrich Otipka, Jiri Vlcek has been leading O+H as managing partner since 2017. By opening up new markets and consistently broadening our range of products and services, we are always in a position to offer our customers optimum product and service quality coupled with new ideas.
