Zirconia corundum is the most resistant, toughest type of corundum available. Depending on the individual material type, this corundum has a zirconium oxide content of 25% or 40%. This means that the material is much harder to break than other types of corundum and therefore has a long service life. This makes it particularly interesting as a component of long-lasting tools.

Glass beads are usually made from clean flat glass. Melting by means of a high-temperature flame brings about the spherical formation. Due to their round shape, they are often used for processing surfaces (shot peening). There is no danger of silicosis during use.
