Abrasives Industry
Fused alumina is used for precision grinding of metals, glass, and ceramics due to its hardness (Mohs 9) and wear resistance. It is found in grinding wheels, sandpaper, belts, and stones, particularly in white and brown varieties, as well as in polishing pastes and powders.

Refractory Industry
Fused alumina is an essential component of refractory materials and withstands extreme temperatures. It is used in furnace linings, crucibles, and ladles in the steel, glass, and cement industries, as well as in refractory bricks and castables. Normal corundum, noble corundum, and black SiC influence the refractory properties of the final product.

Blasting Media and Surface Treatment
Fused alumina is used in the metal, glass, and dental industries for cleaning, deburring, and mattifying. It removes rust, paint, and coatings and prepares surfaces for painting or sealing. Due to its high abrasiveness, it is also used in aerospace, shipbuilding, and anti-slip flooring, alongside SiC, glass beads, and Garnet.

Ceramics Industry
Fused alumina ensures high hardness, temperature resistance, and chemical stability in wear parts, cutting tools, seals, and insulators. In electronics, it is used for ceramic insulators.

Metallurgy
Fused alumina is used as an abrasive and refractory material in casting processes and ladles. Additionally, as an additive, it improves the flow properties of metal alloys.

Glass Industry
Fused alumina increases production temperatures, improves thermal resistance, and ensures a purer glass melt.

Paint and Coatings Industry
Fused alumina is used as a filler in paints and coatings to enhance abrasion resistance and hardness. It is applied in industrial paints and protective coatings, especially in abrasion-resistant layers for floors, machinery, and vehicles.

Medical Implants
Fused alumina is used in medical technology for biocompatible, corrosion-resistant, and wear-resistant surfaces, such as in implants like hip or knee prostheses. Its durability makes it ideal for long-term applications.

Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Technology
Brake and friction materials: Fused alumina is used in friction materials for brake pads and clutches due to its high friction resistance.

Other Applications
Beyond its use as an abrasive, blasting medium, or refractory raw material, our industrial minerals are also used in many other areas, such as:
